My name is Karen Wan and I created Sustaining Stories to provide an alternative to traditional consulting or coaching.
The Sustaining Stories approach is to find the sustaining story for you or your business to follow the highest path with soul. There is also a practical side to what I do with fantastic business partners:

•Collaboration for accelerated change
My fundamental belief is the principle that heart-centered transformation brings about the most profound and lasting changes. It is the passion of our heart that allows us to go the extra mile to create greener buildings or restore ecosystems or build a more just and fair world.

At Sustaining Stories, we have a habit of following the non-linear path to transformation, which is not the path that most business consultants teach you to do.
While we hold monthly green leader meetings, most of the work we do takes years to develop.
With my experiences as a sustainability consultant and a project manager for a green program for the City of Chicago, I can tell you that real change can be fast but it doesn't happen over night.
And you have to keep transforming to grow and prosper.

With funding from EPA Region 5 and 7, helped the Chicago Manufacturing Center in 2009 to plan a midwest byproduct synergy network.
Chicago Waste to Profit Network
Developed a unique public private partnership for the City of Chicago and the Chicago Manufacturing Center from 2005-2010.
